Hadi Khola (Sunkoshi) A Small Hydropower Project is a run of river project proposed with installed capacity of 997 kW that generates 7.80 GWh of energy annually. The headworks of the project lie on the left bank of the Hadi Khola, about 200m upstream of the confluence of Khonawa Khola with Hadi Khola at Chyanarsa village. Water from Khonawa Khola will be added during the dry months by construction of suitable water intake at Khonawa Khola nearly 500m upstream of the Khonawa and Hadi confluence. Water from both intake is conveyed from the intake and reaches the single desander proposed at the cultivated land in the left bank of Hadi khola after crossing the Khonawa khola in a closed conduit. The pipe alignment is proposed to follow the left bank of the Hadi Khola and the
pipe would pass through the forest and cultivated land up to the proposed forebay near Pipal danda village. A greater segment of the length will be low pressure pipe and beyond the forebay, the pipe will be high pressure penstock. The pipe is mainly buried with occasional exposure on river crossings and valleys. The Powerhouse is to be located on the right bank of Sunkoshi river at the terrace at a coordinate of 270 46’ 55” N and 850 57’ 49”E.
