The project consist of preparation of Due Diligence Study of the project for financing with the consortium of banks which is lead by Machhapuchchhre Bank.

Mathillo Maya Khola Hydropower Project (MMKHPP) is a 5 MW run-of-river (RoR) project proposed in Dharmadevi and Madi Municipalities, Sankhuwasabha District, Koshi Province, Nepal. As per the May 2025 Feasibility Study Report, the project lies between 27°13’21”–27°14’03” N latitudes and 87°22’26”–87°24’01” E longitudes, within the Middle Mountain Zone at elevations of 933 m amsl (Turbine Central Level) to 1124 m amsl (Weir Crest Level).

The project will utilize flows from Maya Khola, a tributary of Piluwa Khola, which joins the Arun River. The design discharge is 3.15 m³/s (40% exceedance probability), with a mean annual discharge of 3.23 m³/s and 191 m gross head. The headworks, located downstream of the suspension bridge and the Maya–Ghumsa Khola confluence, comprise an intake, gravel trap, desander, and headpond on the right bank. Water is conveyed through a 2,516 m headrace pipe, crosses the river, passes through a 331.65 m surge tank, and then a 248 m penstock to a surface powerhouse on the left bank near Waleng Jharana. The powerhouse houses two horizontal-axis Pelton turbines generating 5 MW, with energy evacuated via a 10.5 km, 33 kV single-circuit transmission line to Basantapur Sub-station. The total marketable energy as per PPA is 28.963 GWh (8.723 GWh is Dry season Energy and 20.24 GWh is Wet season Energy)
