Geotechnical Investigation of Likhu Khola Hydropower Project (30 MW)

The scope of services will include, but not be limited to, carrying out the following activities:

• Core drilling works at Likhu Khola in Headworks, HRT inlet portal, surge shaft, Powerhouse turbine Unit-1&2.


• Total 7 nos. Of drill hole location 2-BH at Headworks, 1 –BH at HRT inlet portal, 2-BH at surge shaft and 2-BH at Powerhouse.


• Core drilling upto maximum depth of 20m.


• Field test such as Packer/Lugeon test, Permeability test at an interval of 3m.


• Field test such as SPT/CPT at overburden strata.


• Extraction and packing of core sample on corebox, each box with maximum 5 m depth sample.


• Laboratory test such as Unit weight, specific gravity, bulk density, point load test, UCS test, Brazilian tensile strength test.


• Preparation of field log and laboratory test results.


• Analysis of data, conclusion and recommendation of design parameters
