Lohore Khola is one of the tributaries of Karnali River. As per the feasibility study report and the power purchase agreement, the design discharge of the project is 2.50 m3/s at probability exceedance of 40%. The diversion weir lies upstream from the confluence of Bhaday Khola and Lohore Khola. All the headworks arrangement is located on the left bank of Lohore Khola from where design flow is diverted from intake-gravel trap to settling basin via approach canal of 322 m length. The flow then passes through 2560 m long 1.1m diameter headrace pipe to 2 units of horizontal axis pelton turbines to generate 4 MW power. The generated energy is proposed to evacuate at Dailekh Bazaar Substation via 17 km long 33 kV Transmission line.
