The project consist of preparation of Due Diligence Study of the project for financing purpose with the consortium of banks which is lead by Siddhartha bank. The Consultant has completed all the assignment as per ToR.
The proposed Seti Khola Hydropower Project will utilize the flow available in Seti Khola which is the tributary of the Kaligandaki River. The Kaligandaki River is later evacuated into the one of the main river, Saptagandaki River in Deughat. As per the Feasibility Study Report and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), the design discharge of the project is 4.85 m3/s at probability exceedance of 40%. The diversion weir is located near Khorpokhara village of Urampokhara VDC. All the headworks arrangement is located on the right bank of Seti Khola from where design flow is diverted from intake-gravel trap to settling basin via approach culvert of 35.0 m length. As per the Detail Design Drawings, the flow then passes through 3650 m long 1.7 m diameter headrace pipe up to surge shaft and then via 99 m long penstock pipe of 1.6 m diameter. The powerhouse is located at the terraced cultivated land on the hillside of the right bank of Seti Khola. The powerhouse consists of 2 units of horizontal axis Francis turbines to generate 3.5 MW power. The generated energy is proposed to evacuate at Lunkhu Deurali Substation, Parbat via 14 km long 33 kV Transmission Line.
