The project consist of preparation of Due Diligence Study of the project for financing purpose with the consortium of banks which is lead by machhapuchhre bank. The Consultant has completed all the assignment as per ToR.
Phawa Khola is a tributary of Kabeli Khola, which in turn, is a major tributary of Tamor Nadi, a major river basin of Sapta Khosi river. The design discharge of the project is 2.60 m3/s at probability exceedance of 40% and as per the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), the design discharge of the project is 2.52 m3/s at probability exceedance of 41.14 %. The diversion weir lies at Ose Dobhan village, approximately 400 m downstream of the confluence with Soyang Khola. All the headworks arrangement is located on the left bank of Phawa Khola from where design flow is diverted from intake-gravel trap to settling basin via approach canal of 40.0 m length. The flow then passes through 4357 m long 1.5 m diameter headrace pipe upto surge tank and then via 479 m long penstock pipe of 1.1 m diameter. The powerhouse is located on flood plain at left bank of Phawa Khola about 100 m downstream of the confluence with Siwa Khola. The powerhouse consists of 2 units of horizontal axis pelton turbines to generate 5.8 MW power. The generated energy is proposed to evacuate at Amarpur Substation via 8 km long 33 kV single circuit Transmission line
